Asymptomatic - showing no symptoms of disease
Bushmeat - meat from African wild animals that are hunted for food
Chain of transmission - how a disease is spread among the human population
Contagious - means a disease can be transmitted from one person to another and defines how easily this transmission occurs
Electron micrograph - a photograph or image of a specimen taken using an electron microscope
Electron microscope - a type of microscope that use electrons rather than visible light to produce magnified images, especially of objects having dimensions smaller than the wavelengths of visible light; electron microscopes have a linear magnification approaching or exceeding one million
Endemic - the constant presence of a disease or infectious agent within a given geographic area; it may also refer to the usual prevalence of a given disease within such area
Epidemic - the occurrence in a community or region of cases of an illness (or an outbreak) with a frequency clearly in excess of normal expectancy
